Book Review of Panorama by Shilpi Chaklanobis

Thank you for providing me with ARC of Panorama and my apologies for being so late! But how can you finish reading a book when you belong to a family of bookworms who are always busy with the same book? Even my 12-year-old cousin heard most of the stories from my aunt. I proudly belong to a family of Bibliophiles and I must say, Shilpi Chaklanobis is the new happening thing of the writing Industries. For years, writing industry has been ruled my women. Ashapurna Devi, Mahasweta Devi, Jhumpa Lahiri, Arundhati Roy. Isn't it weird that all these women are from Bengal? The land of rich literary culture when Tagore himself lived?  Bengali literature stands as an important section of Indian Literature. A major chunk of Bengali population still prefers the rich regional literature relevant to their society, in comparison to the foreign literatures.  And looks like, another production is in the making from a bengali woman.

The short stories of Panorama have left me and they have left me some characters that will never die and I will cherish these stories now and then. I wish I had an hardcover because after so much of reading the book literally is in torn state. The tale about the peasants of the society who work day and night and yet have no happiness in their life. The only thing they all yearn for, a partner, a child. The love of a young girl for her pet as they run into the streets of Kolkata. A sweet tale about a father who is jealous of the mother and takes a bad step to win a greater part of his daughter's heart. These, and a lot more, in store for you in the pages of the book, Panorama. Get your copy as soon as you can!

The Monk by Akshay Shroff

They say, a reader lives a million lives before death. Dont know about that but in Akshay Shroff's novel, I lived one extra life. The book has touched me to my core and left feelings, inexplicable. And alas, I have the duty of reviewing the novel that thrives on human emotions. I ask, how can I rate emotions? Yet, I give my best in this review of mine. :)

The story begins on one fine day in the Gaitonde family which is quite relatable as most of the days in a normal, mediocre family start the similar way. The story then moves on narrating the lives and union of not just our Protagonist, Lakshya Gaitonde but as well as the people surrounding him in short yet powerful lines. The adversity in the novel is terrorism which Lakshya fights with all his might. The question is, which path does he choose? And why does he end up as The Monk?

Akshay Shroff has penned down a masterpiece of human psychology and emotions in his strong and well strung words which I really found attractive. There are parts in the book where I have really cried as the strong language compels the reader to put himself in the shoes of the protagonist. After that, its no more lines of a book. Its your own story.

I have not the audacity but still I have to criticise the fact of not using translations for Marathi language for nationwide and international readers. But I am acquainted with the language so it stirred up an array of emotions in me.

I cant rate the book less than 5 stars. Why dont you get your copy here ? :)

Kaleidoscope - Book Review

Some books are not meant to be stacked in the bookshelf. They are supposed to be pulled out at certain times to read and relate once again owing to any current events in your life and find a shelter amidst the characters of the story who are just like you. Such a book is Kaleidoscope- Colours of life. The amazing play of words and a wide panorama of various tales and incidents lifted up from the people living around us makes this book a representation of Human beings and their emotions, connecting to us at an emotional level and saying - "DONT GIVE UP."

When you see the beautiful cover of a woman formed of all the colours you instantly feel like flipping through the pages. Smile and Hold the book and flip through the pages. Kaleidoscope is a beautiful instrument that shows you various mood of various colour everytime it is moved. And so is this amazing book.

7 Colours and 38 attributes make this story a big plate of treats and you can never dig in at once else you will fail to get the real flavour. They are meant to be read one at a time and pondered upon for the rest of the day. The Chapters of the book help you to look at various things in a different light and think of yourself as a Superhero of your own life. They are certainly going to give you a touch of maturity and a sense of good feeling and make you smile at the end of every chapter. My favourite chapter will be, undoubtedly, Life- A beautiful Collage which has summed up almost the entire book and in form of short and simple lines told us how to live a better life.

With a wide range of subjects and solutions Inderjit Kaur seems to be a good counsellor and a person to look forward to when in distress. Well all of us have experienced downs in life and picked ourselves up. You don't realize that if you stop looking backwards craving the love and acceptance which you didn't receive from your parents, then you might open your eyes to what is available for you now.  But you won't let go.  If only you could see that looking back into an incomplete and imperfect past, with regret, blame, guilt or resentment is keeping you from the treasures that await you here now. The past has gone.  You cannot rectify something that is no longer with you. Thats what Inderjit Kaur explores and comprehends.o absorb for a longer time.

The book tells you all about accentuating your positive outlook, to learn how to craft your strength and be you. To dream for excellence and expand your vision. A thought filled book with strong dose you may need to have some time to absorb.

In just one book, Inderjit Kaur has summed up all your reasons to visit the psychiatrists and thereby saves a lot of your time and money.
The author uses various amazing quotations from writers across the globe and thats the ornament on the christmas tree.Even though you may disagree with the adjectives added to the colours, I completely agree with it and think that she has done an amazing job choosing the titles. A must have book for all, I give it 5 stars.

In Love and Free by Jagdish Joghee

I recently caught up with a quick, interesting read and dear readers, I loved the theme and the style pf writing. So I just thought of sharing my views with you, specially for those looking to buy a good romantic novella. Novella I say because this book is around 100 pages and I wont put it into the category of a Novel.

The plot of the story is the tale of a woman who breaks free of her monotonous life with her husband and children and gets involved in an extramarital affair. Emotions turn into wild horses and soon, the lady of the story, Shruti is devastated and abandoned and her perfect life goes upside down. She seeks for forgiveness but will she get back her perfect life? Read the book to know about the consequences a woman faces when she breaks her loyalty towards the most loving husband in the world.

I felt very sad for Shruti's husband, Madhan who selflessly put his trust in her and worked hard to give her and his family a better life, but got back pain, betrayal and treachery in return. Another character who made me cry was Meera, who faced even worse treatment than Madhan by her husband who was a violent, brutal man who had numerous flings at the same time and tried to shut Meera's pleas.

The theme of the book is very controversial and I would like to appreciate the author's efforts to write on such a topic. The writing style is fast paced, no beating about the bush and neat and clean. I would rate this book four stars out of five.

Blue Floral One Piece Review

Well recently I purchased a Floral printed One Piece For Girl's & Women's. Modern patterns and contemporary designs. No wonder, you will look stunningly beautiful in this Designer One Piece.

The material is semi stiched and I love the floral print. Beauty and Elegance are found in one dress which you can team up with a necklace and pearl earrings and that will be enough to make you the showstopper. I am happy with the fitting and it has a flowy nature which I personally love a lot.

The Material is Georgette and personally I don't like the Georgette material but if you are fine with it, you can purchase it anytime! One more turn off is non availability of any sleeve! I hoped for better but other than that it's a perfect wear for all women.

As you see, it is a Western wear so anyone who is comfortable with a Western wear may make a purchase. Other than that, even if you are starting on it, you will love it. I prescribe the age group 15-30 for this dress but alas, what of age when you have a great dress?
So hurry on and grab it Here .

The Colour of Love - A Book Review

Hello all, looking to buy a good book? Budget low? No problem! I am presenting to you, "The Colour of Love" by Jagdish Joghee.

So what is the book about? The typical "Kuch kuch hota hai" theme. But twisted at the end. Love is friendship and maybe that is why, author wants to let us know, the colour of love is yellow!

Why shall you read this book? To take a break, of course! Life is so tedious! A good book is like a break away from the regular stress of life. And a book, with so many twists and turns that make you go ...."whoaaaaaa" at points. A couple of typos were the only faults I got on my naked eye.

Are there adult scenes? Yes. In fact a plenty of them but not obscene. The writing style is soothing and I loved that! Nor tongue twisting literature, neither naive. A perfect read for leisure. Grab hold of this book Here.

I would rate this book about 4.2 stars.

So I hope you like the Review Arena with Dazzle Diva aka Sneha! Leave your comments down there I will revert soon!

Estee Lauder Lipstick Review

So you will ask me,what sets this apart from other matte lipsticks on the market?
Well besides having an iconic and historic makeup brand behind this launch, the lipstick itself performs above expectations.

The matte formula has a luxurious feel to it. Upon application it deposits pigmented color for matte, opaque coverage that lasts. There is a subtle vanilla scent to the lippie reminiscent of Mac's. Even though both makeup brands are under the Estee Lauder Companies, Inc. beauty empire, the product is similar but different enough from Mac's Lady Danger

Plus there are more colors that are going to expand this lipstick line. They are already available on Sephora.com in some trendy colors. So that is a big plus and exciting. You can choose another color in this formulation if this shade isn't what you're looking for.

The lipstick is Limited Edition and is a bright orange red. It exudes youth, fun, and a classic knock-out red pout. If you're a big fan of bright orangey reds or lipstick in general, and you happen to be a fan of the brand and of Kendall Jenner, then definitely get this lipstick.

It is an online exclusive so you'll have to go by the pictures that have been posted. I can say it does bring out the Veronica Lake in you.
